Giving them the second chance that they deserve is the best possible option; I will let them know that the next time I overhear them, I will go straight and file a formal complaint.
Recording the conversation, as Hugh Jim Bissell suggested is not an option for me. Since I am not filing for a formal complaint, it is not necessary to record them for evidence. These people just happen to think that it was right to make those remarks. She seemed to be only worried about racist remarks which kind of worries me. It seemed that she thinks being sexist is acceptable, but being racist is not. It is unacceptable and needs to be handled correctly.
